White Rabbit Wedding and update

A very hectic and physically strenuous two weeks – 8000 clicks, 8 blisters, 800 steps, 80kms, 288hrs of standing and squatting with my camera. (nah, kidding! Only the first is probably real). I am beginning to measure my life out in clicks.
Photographed two amazing shoots in Hongkong. (One’s confidential for now, the other’s truly a delight)....

bits and pieces of Berlin

It was refreshing to catch Christmas away from Singapore once in a while.
Scrapes of images of my trip to share, some of them are experimentations with a very old, but just serviced Nikon 35mm F2.8
It belongs to my father and I dug it out of his drybox (he’s long forgotten it’s there), he’s also forgotten he...

APEC

Last month, Singapore played host to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings so I was there to shoot it.

It’s the sort of infusion you need to have once in a while, like going...

Great leap forward @ Army Half Marathon

While shooting quite a monotonous scene of joggers at the Army Half Marathon, this guy decides to take a leap, flying high in front of my camera. Caught me by surprise, because as he did he, he also went “Hoi!” Don’t understand the rationale behind it, but it turned out to be my favourite shot.

Food photography

In this time of recession, busy is good and busy is blessing, which is why there is stuff I’ll hope to be updating very soon. For now my thoughts are mainly on food photography.
Which is the best lens to use? Is natural light ever complete?
I’ve tried shooting food with studio lights, multiple flashes, window light,...

“Make it look like a million dollars!”

Climbed ladders and chairs today to shoot books and they came out all Muji-inspired, yes!
If my client had the time, I would’ve shot each and every book individually!
At the end of the shoot, I just wanted to eat the books up, chew on them, bite them, because they look like they have the texture of...
