I am intrigued by a photo capturing an Indian-Muslim woman preparing for prayer. She is veiled and cloaked in a white garment which connects her to her faith: the epitome of a traditionally devout Muslim. Yet in another frame, we see her as she is loosening her hair after prayers: the epitome of a modern woman. The photographs emote in the viewer a sense of bonding with the subjects as they are captured at their most intimate and private moments and perhaps at their most vulnerable because we see a real person there. Who are these women?"
